Digital China Named in the First Batch of “Typical Cases of Digital Economy Going Global in 2025”

Recently, the “Typical Cases of Digital Economy Going Global in 2025” was officially released at the “International Cooperation Forum on Digital Economy Going Global” in the 2025 Global Digital Economy Conference. Digital China’s overseas case study, developed under its AI-driven data-cloud integration strategy, titled “Digital China Going Global, Chinese Solutions and Cultural Resonance”, were successfully selected.

The “Typical Cases of Digital Economy Going Global in 2025” was developed under the guidance of the Beijing Municipal Commission of Economy and Information Technology and the Beijing Municipal Development and Reform Commission. Organized by the Beijing Digital Economy Enterprise Going Global Innovation Service Base, the compilation focuses on seven major models of enterprise internationalization. It is based on a maturity evaluation index system constructed around five dimensions: market value potential, local operation and adaptability, overseas scalability, technological leadership and industrial driving potential. The selected cases represent the first batch of typical cases of digital economy going global. The initiative aims to provide systematic methodologies and practical guidance for more enterprises to “go global”, stimulate their vitality in participating in global digital competition, and jointly foster an open, inclusive, cooperative and win-win framework for international digital cooperation.

At present, China’s digital economy enterprises’ are shifting from treating globalization as an option to embrace it as a strategic imperative, moving from early product trade to a deep globalization stage characterized by technology empowerment and ecosystem co-creation. As it evolves into a leading partner in global digital transformation, Digital China remains committed to empowering the digital transformation of industries and the development of the digital economy with globally leading technologies and independently innovative core technologies. It continuously expands high-value businesses and new tracks, accelerates overseas layout and promotes the development of overseas business.

In early 2024, Digital China officially announced its “going global” plan. Centered on its international business headquarters - Digital China International Innovation Center, it exported its self-owned brand products and solutions, professional cloud services, practical digital experience and service capabilities to overseas markets, and jointly built a digital service ecosystem with global partners to empower the digital transformation of industries around the world.

In March of the same year, Digital China signed a Memorandum of Understanding (MOU) with the Ministry of Digital Economy and Society of Thailand, announcing its plan to take Southeast Asia as a strategic hub to further expand overseas markets and accelerate the implementation of enterprise-level technologies. At present, Digital China has released its self-developed enterprise Agent middle platform – Smart Vision (Overseas version), and through its subsidiary GoPomelo, has been driving the adoption of cutting-edge technologies such as cloud computing and artificial intelligence in Thailand. Digital China has become an important partner in promoting the development of cloud computing, digital infrastructure construction, big data centers, digital talent cultivation, artificial intelligence and other fields in the local area.

At present, Digital China has established strategic partnerships in overseas markets — including with ByteDance — and continues to see steady growth in international orders.

In addition, Digital China promotes its digital concepts and practical cases globally as a form of cultural soft power through channels such as book publishing and cooperation with business schools. These efforts help Chinese enterprises and Chinese solutions to continuously make their voices heard on the international stage, seek cultural resonance globally, and promote the international community’s recognition of the service capabilities and solution value of Chinese enterprises.

At present, the digital transformation solution which is formed based on Digital China's own practical experience in digital transformation has successfully made its way onto the global academic and business stages. They have been included in the case libraries of top global business schools such as London Business School (LBS), Harvard Business School, and INSEAD, as well as incorporated into teaching materials. Moreover, the series of books that embody Digital China's experience in digital transformation and enterprise management - "The Power of Digitalization" and "The Power of Time" - have also been published overseas.

Being selected as one of the “Typical Cases of Digital Economy Going Global in 2025” not only affirms Digital China’s global efforts, but also highlights the international competitiveness of Chinese enterprises in digital services. As one of the first exemplary cases, Digital China’s global expansion offers valuable insights for other Chinese companies going abroad.
